Great forum everyone its the highlight of my day reading all the latest posts so thought it was about time I joined in and gave another perspective. Were all car nuts in our family so most things revolve around cars, no Camrys in our garages! Owner of
Tiguan 147TSI that has been fantastic in the last 14 months, no issues at all (apart from safety recall on doors). Would have bought a Golf GTI but I have a boat to tow, closest I could get. Bit down on performance due to extra weight but thats now been fixed after a visit to APR last week. Now I have read all the posts on this subject and you do get a bit dubious about the claims, and being a more shall we say mature driver was taking it all with a small grain of salt. I shoudn't have its an absolutely different car. Goes like a rocket with all that extra torque, my advise to anyone considering is "just do it".
Will get more active in other posts as I have some thoughts on different topics
