Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New (for me) GTi Pirelli

Hi, I'm a proud owner of a 2008 GTi Pirelli edition in saphire blue with just 13k on the clock. Just picked her up over the weakend.
The car is simply just amazing. One of the best car I have ever owned. A perfect all rounder.
I am very pleased to join this forum and will be accessing it every night from now on to learn more about the GTi.

If you're keen, http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/f21/...ide-52904.html is coming up next weekend, and there should be an Adelaide meet and drive the weekend after as well.

Congrats - I bought my Graphite blue Pirelli brand new two years ago (today) and it has been a fantastic car - done 19,000 untroubled KM's. It is in having two ywar service. Note: Watch the front tyes if it still has the original Pzero's. My fronts lasted 13000 km's without driving it too hard - very soft tyre. Bak tyres still fine.
