Found the forum looking for info in the Amorok, nice forum you have here

well in the next month i will either be getting an Amorok or a new passat (company cars rock) so i thought i would stick around and pick the residents brains on what i can do to these dubs, been messing around with Jeeps for the last 6 years so i am up for a new learning curve

Welcoem to the forums mate.
From all accounts i have heard the Amarok is a very capable off-road vehicle and the little engine is torquey enough to pull well.

Hopefully you can have a test drive.
