  • VIC My first car, and first post.

    Hi,

This is my first post to my first car-related forum. I've been reading a lot of the threads here in the past few weeks, so thought I ought to register.

I live in Melbourne, and only got my license a couple of weeks ago, well past the age I should have (let's say at least double the legal minimum driving age).

My first car is a 2011 VW Golf TDI which I collected from the dealer last week. It's very nice, though admittedly I don't have a great deal of experience by which to compare.

Here's a picture. I greyed out the plates because it seems that's what people do, though I'm unsure why.

Anyway, thanks for having me, I'm glad to be here!

      Mbd,
Plates blacked out serve 2 purposes - obviously one being privacy and secondly not good to advertise your mods, tinkering, etc publicly with plates showing, so as to avoid any unwanted attention from insurance company / dealer or others, with the potential to affect warranty / insurance
      Just my thoughts

Thanks! It's brand new, definitely one of the perks in waiting till your much older before you get a license, I suppose . And yes, black euros as well - I was hoping they'd look good on it, and (imho) they do!

            Hi Everyone!

Been reading up a lot on the forums and thought i join and say Hey as I am looking to get a Tiguan.

Living in Melbourne and am eager to take a Tiguan for a bit of country drive over the weekend.

            cheers,
            Steve
