Hi! I'm anxiously waiting for the delivery of my new Golf R that was ordered on 9 August last year, built on 11 February and scheduled for delivery around 18 April. Hopefully, it was loaded on to the Tortugas yesterday and is on its way. I had a 9 month wait for my current ride, a MKV GTI, so I'm used to playing the waiting game!

Unfortunately my R wasn't loaded on to the Tortugas as originally scheduled, but ended up being loaded on to the Torino which sailed from Bremerhaven on 2 March. Although the Torino sailed five days after the Tortugas, it arrives at Port Kembla only two days later on 11 April. So still hopeful of delivery around 18 April. General delivery periods are between 2-3 weeks for compliance, dealer delivery, cleaning, dealer checks, removal of shipping material etc.
So i would say you are more lkely going to pick it up on the last week of April.
9 months is a crazy amount of time!
