Just ordered my first ever VW; a Polo GTI

Hey all,

I've just placed an order on a new Polo GTI

It will be the first VW I ever owned and I can't wait! To be honest I was never into VWs when I was younger, but these days VW is getting it so right with every new release.

Looking forward to enjoying the forum community, especially when it comes to cruises and mods.

My last ride was a modified MX-5 turbo. Which was an unbelievable car, but too full on as my every day driver.





So it was time to move on to something a little bit more practical. And I just couldn't go past the GTI's bang-for-your-buck, not to mention its fun factor. Now just to get through the 12 month delivery wait....

I loved the original NA model MX-5!

My plan is to buy one to restore and modify later in life. The NA was so simple yet so involving to drive; the perfect weekend hill climb/track car!

My MX-5 was tuned to 270HP, which I think took away some of car's spirit (but made if freak'n fast!). Hence the decision to start with a clean canvas.
