  • Newbie :D soon to be R Owner in Europe

    Hi,

Am from Gibraltar all the way from europe I currently drive a 2008 Honda Legend 3.5V6 SH-AWD and was looking to change to something a little more sporty but with AWD and I think the R is it... hopefully it will handle as well if not better than my legend, I was thinking about the EVO but maybe its not as liveable as the Golf R, i know the golf r will not be in the same league for long distance cruising... maybe am wrong... any opinions are welcome I would like to know though does the Golf R have that "push you against the seat" acceleration?

    Regard

    Welcome to the forum.

Having been to Gib a few times, I have to ask where you are going to stretch the Rs legs?? I reckon the only straight bit of road has aeroplanes on it

Haha Spain same as my current car ... I barely use it locally. Mostly I take it to Spain to Tarifa, Malaga,Torremolinos, Granada etc etc same when I get the R. Was considering Evolution X but to daily drive around Gib when needed.. the roads are not suitable .. nearly all cars bounce around these roads. Am sure the R is much better ... just still wondering on the acceleration feeling and the handling compared to the legends AWD
