Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Welcome to the forums.
The MkV GTI garnered a huge amount of interest in the VW brand.

    What options does your have?
    Any plans for it?

about 3 weeks ago i put 18" matt black tenzo project 7's on it.
i have sprayed all my emblems black, (looking into plasti-dip for the front though.. its copped a hammering from stone chips already!)

in the near future im planning the APR CPU, Carbino CAI, lower it 1.5" or so.. and colour coding the back bumper panel

eventually i would love the apr turbo back exhaust aswell, but that wont be for a while.

here's a pick i took the day after i got the new rims-

Not bad, red always looks good in the mk5 shape.
How much do the tenzo's weigh?
From memory replica wheels such as Tenzo's are quite heavy.

Sounds like it will be an awesome ride when you are finished with it.
