Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi there

    Just a quick introduction

I´m from germany and live here in Australia since 2007, always had VW in germany but sometime you grow up and never bought myself one again, so it always was in my brain
how much fun I had with them.

I drove than for 18 years BMW´s because I was working for BMW in germany. Know I´m here in australia and found out that a BMW is not the best choice of vehicle here in Australia.
I fullfilled my dream and bought myself just a day before christmas last year a Golf GTI 1991 Mark2 1.8 ltr,8v which was parked for a long time in the garage. I will rebuild that goody in the next couple of month/years. I always wanted one when I was younger but never could afford it in the early 1990.
Also I found this webpage here and maybe I will find/met some VW friends/clubs around Brisbane/north area. That would be great and keep in touch whith each other, have a smalltalk or do some sunday runs up the mountains that would be fun.

Sorry for my bad english but I think everybody understand what I mean

    Regards Stefan
