Just like Shakespeare - a Golf R has replaced the Mazda MPS. in my case a white Golf R replaces my white MPS6.

Totally different cars, but with just over 1,000 kilometres done starting to come to terms with the differences.

The R brings a smile every time I drive it and the more I drive the more I am enjoying

Day 1 61 kilometres of dirt road - approx 300 kilometres on speedo - roads closed due to flooding , had to take alternative roads or backtrack to Goulburn 71 kilometres

How have you found the R, compared to a GTI?
Did you test drive the GTI first?

Haven't driven a GTI to compare - come to think of it - didn't drive a golf R until the trip home from the dealers
