Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Looking at new Polo

Currently looking at getting a Polo Comfortline to replace my Peugeot 206GTI MY00. Need more doors as getting two kids in/out of the back is just annoying. I'd like a Golf, but for the amount I drive it's difficult to justify the extra money on a Comfortline spec Golf to get a bigger car with the right features. Previously we've owned a 1997 Golf MkIII CL (my sister now has it). Hopefully getting a test drive of the Polo on Wednesday and then play the inevitable games with the only Adelaide dealer to get a decent price.

Looking at a Comfortline Polo with Sports, Audio, Comfort Packs. Interested in the BT kit but only if it's not horrendously expensive and is useful.

Still trying to make sure which BT I'm meant to ask for with the RCD510 - I think it's the 9W7. Is that what I ask for with the Polo? What's the price I should expect?

    Welcome to the forums

Polo Comfortline will be a great buy am sure I am interested in them to.
I'm waiting for the Amarok to come out before I decide which VW to buy.

Just remember Duttons (Murray Bridge) is up the freeway and they will make a deal

    Good Luck with Polo purchase

      Thanks Ben,
I emailed Duttons and they've ignored me so far. Will see - I'm happy to deal with them (Duttons) but Solitaire are just a few minutes drive from home. Also happy enough trying to buy interstate - but that just seems a hassle.

As per some other posts - bought a 77TSI Comfortline with Sports, Comfort, Audio Pack yesterday evening from Solitaire. Delivery isn't for an eternity (May/June) which is annoying as my current car will require a service and more rego.
