Newbie wanting a mk 3 VR6

Hey guys,

I am Jono, from Sydney, I am looking at buying a VR6, 1994 model at the moment with 140,000kms...
I am going to look at it tomorrow, anything I need to look out for?
As the usual forum things, I tried to search all sorts of things like common issues and such but there is so many threads its hard to find anything relevant.

Any advice on buying a used VR6?

you're right, this has been covered many times, might need to practise that searching

But, a few things that spring to mind are listen for noisy timing chains, test heater/aircon, see if all 4 windows are working (although even if they are, one will soon break ) umm, if things like timing chains have been done thats a bonus for sure, hopefully its not an auto? haha.

thanks dude, haha yeh i did search i promise...I am on forums regularly...
Yeah my good mate had two VR6s so he has told me about those chains, ill definately check the heater/aircon but the one im looking at said it needs a regas, kinda worried that it farrkd and might need a new unit, but we'll see!
Its a manual of course, defeats the purpose of the car itself, I drive a auto VE commodore and thats nice to cruise in, but this I would need a manual...
