This is my very first post on the forum. After many years of reading forum posts without even being a member, it feels good to finally be contributing (and asking questions that I have been trying to answers to for nearly 2 years).
I currently own a ride that many of you wouldn't look twice at, a black 2008 Jetta. It's not particularly speedy, although it will do me just fine until VW release an R36 equivalent 2011 Passat - a car that I have Googled almost every day since it was unveiled in Paris back in September.
The key reason for my becoming a VWWaterCooled member today is a question about my RNS510 Sat Nav. I want to update the Firmware, however can't as I never received a physical Maps CD/DVD. From what I have read, an RNS510 Sat Nav Firmware upgrade will clear all HDD stored music (which I can reload) and Maps (which I can't currently reload). Aside from spending 100s on a new Maps disc, are there any tips that can get my RNS510 Sat Nav Firmware upgraded less the $$? Thanks in advance, fellow VW-lovers.
