About to rage at this forum

I was referred to this forum from one of your members who advised me about a meet that's happening in a couple of weeks time. I have to let the guys know i'm coming but i'm unable to post a reply to the meet thread. I've activated my account, posted in the newbies section, waited almost 72 hours and even sent an e-mail to the admin of that particular sub-section. I hate to be rude and get off on the wrong foot but how many more fkn hoops do i need to jump through just to come to a meet?

It's never been so hard to post and i'm a member on over 20 forums, a majority of which are euro car ones. In the meet description it says bring friends and tell others about the meet but i can't see me recommending anyone to this forum as its so hard to use.

I know it cuts down on spam but come on!

i think there is a certain post count required. For instance its not nice of the plod to monitor a forum and turn up to meets and defect cars. At least having a minimum post count makes that a little harder. (not that any of us have unroadworthy cars or plan on doing anything illegal at a meet)

But yeah not having a go at you. It is annoying.. Whinge away.

Its the joys of a modern forum just have to put up with it a forum this size getting a special attention is rare.

just having a look at the welcoming post on the forum. It seems it outlines whats required to get access to the classfieds but nothing for the meets?

I can understand about police not monitoring the meets but i can view all the details about the meet, just not reply to the thread so if i was a police officer i could find all the information i needed without even joining the forum.

Haha yup.. I can totally understand the classified section, that would obviously cut down on scams etc. But the meets.. Ideally thats one of the first things you'd like new forum members to participate in..

Having a look on the meet thread I found a user who posted his 11th post on that thread so don't mind me while i spam up to 10 replies to see if that works.. >_<
