Hi there I'm from Melbs and I currently have an XR8 ute.
Am a bit sick of the heavy clutch and even heavier fuel consumption so am looking at Mk V Golf GTI's.
I like to mod my cars a bit, but I reckon if you're not happy with just suspension, intake, exhaust and a chip, you should've got a differerent car.
You will note there is not wheels on that list - I like the lowered on factory wheels look - basically I want all mods to at least seem purposeful...
Saying all that my XR8 has copped upgraded brakes and wheels on top of everything else... It is still very slow running in the 14's tho, if my next car could do high 13's I'd be very content.
My most fun car to date has been a modded R32 Skyline - about 12 years ago when they were still cool.
After that I had an Audi A4 1.8t with some tasteful mods which was probably my 'best' car to date.
The old Career went on the back burner with O/S travel for many years but now I'm finally in a position to get something decent again.
Oh, I have another vehicle, it has the power to weight ratio of a Veyron, until I sit on it - then it's about the same as my ute - a 2010 Kato 300 Dirt bike...
Am interested to hear how people find DSG V's manual GTI's, and how they go towing a small trailer.
