  • NSW Glad to see there are others like me.

This is my first post. After through chance trading in my ER34 Skyline for a Mark V TDI DSG Golf ... my taste in cars changed.

That was two years ago and I am now waiting for a DSG GTI arrive.

I found the tracking thread for orders highly informative and like others have been pressing refresh on my browser to see where MORNING CAMILLA was on the world Atlas. Simply reading the posts on this forum has made the wait easier.

While I am in he home stretch waiting for the shiny new GTI I thought I would start contributing to the discussion.

Not sure if I did the right thing ordering the GTI ahead of the GTD (since my first Golf was a TDI) ... but I thought if the Diesel is this good ... petrol might be amazing.

    Fingers crossed.

If my humble opinion counts, I struggle to appreciate how a diesel can be associated with anything related to sport or performance based vehicles.. so for mine you made the best decision by a country mile..

Congrats and welcome to the waiting room..

hehe another converted Skyline owner. I will always have a soft spot for Skylines. Love the current GTR! I used to own an R32 GTS-t coupe that was alot of fun and swore my next car would be an R34 skyline, that was until I took a ride in my mates 2009 GTI. Lol. Anyway decided to go the whole hog and buy an R which is now on the Don Quijote ship due in Melb Dec 30! Can't wait! Go the VW's!
