Hi All- just got my new R32 home- Blue DSG, 2008, 19k km's, i-pod, touchscreen stereo... 
Spent many hours on here beforehand so thanks to all for the great information.
Very, very happy with it so far. No plans to do any mods, quite happy just as it is... although the Lithuanian RNS510 is very tempting!!!
Quick question if anyone can help- cant seem to get the full ipod (80gb Classic) connectivity through the stereo (not sure what the model is called... think it is the genuine upgraded VW touchscreen but with no GPS???). Read a bit on here and after fiddling plug-in prior to ignition etc managed to get it playing through the 'CD' area but it will only display 'track 19' for instance and I can only skip forward and back. If I try and use AUX area I get nothing (the play button does not even light up). Also notice in the set-up area that if I tick the 'activate aux' icon I get nothing at all- not even able to play through the CD area. Could it be a problem with the Vagcom or am I just being a bit simple????
Please do not point me in the direction of the manual...I have read many posts that are solved through a good read, but I have already read it cover to cover and no help. In fact the manual I have is for the RNS500 (BTW does that mean that my touchscreen is aftermarket?).
