Hi all.
Had my 2.2 Vectra Hatch to 5 years, loved it as a drive, but my wife now wanted it as her car (she says it makes her drive too fast too lol ), so it was time for a new car. One thats got some kick under the bonnet, drives well and sticks to road like brown stuff to a blanket. ..... and I love my european cars (also own a Renault RX4).
Did some reseach and test drives and my choices seem to be;
Clio RS (not enough kick)
Focus RX5 (tiny boot !! )
MPS3 (steering kicks too much)
GTI (too expensive and I hate "option cars")
.... then I happen to trip over some reviews of the Skoda vRS in Australia.
Never ever thought about Skoda's, but I've never been a brand snob, so went for a test drive. WHHHOOOAAH !! Impressed
And the price, just as impressive.
So after 4 months of research, and just 2 weeks after the vRS test drive, I bought it!
In fact I bought the one I test drove (only had 40km on it)
Black - Manual - Leather - Sunroof
Added full tint and a paint protector
Picked it up today ...... drove around for a couple hours
I thought it came with BT, but it didn't ...... Bugger !!
So thats how I ended up on these forums. Lots of nice info here, including stuff about Fiscon BT addons.
..... more research to do, later guys.

just hate the indirect markup of price dealers and manufacturers alike get from cars where you select options (that should be standard stuff) from a "menu".
