I am a first time VW owner and cannot wait.
nice mate me too, except my R is due sometime in Jan 2011. I got into VW's after going for a spin in my mates 2009 GTI. Can't wait for my R after previously owning everything from a Chrysler Valiant Safari wagon (first car, looked like Ecto out of Ghostbusters lol), a Mazda RX3 coupe (bridgeported), V8 VL Commodore, R32 Nissan Skyline GTS-t couple and currently a boring but reliable 1998 Mitsubishi Verada sedan.
The specs are a black 5 door dsg, leather seats, sat nav and MDI. Tagged for a Late November/Early December delivery.
I have only had a Toyota Corolla previously and was looking for a new car. I went for a test drive in an R and was absolutely blown away. I could not believe how good it was.
