B2 1982 Passat

Hi All,
At the risked of being laughed off this forum I'm thinking of buying a B2 1982 Passat.
5 speed 2.1 litre petrol motor 132K on the clock.
Have a bit of a soft spot for these as it was my mums 1st new car (albeit 1977 B1 1.6L)
and i recall it wasn't that great.

Would like any feedback at all about this car,even negative.

just after a reliable 2nd car that is economical and not too expensive to service.
