Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • WA New GTI Owner

G'Day everyone, I'm a fairly new GTI owner, Black 3DR MKVI with DSG... I've also just had a stage 1 APR upgrade on the ECU and I'm loving it. I get quite a bit of flak from the V8 drivers.... but I'm alway up for a challenge. This is my 3rd VW and I love the brand.

      Welcome aboard queeg.

These V8 drivers are blindfolded rednecks? LOL

Ive got a worked FPV GT-P with 385KW and my audi S3 with around 200KW, and whilst i love the torque and noise from the FPV, my first choice to drive is always the Audi

I got the ECU upgrade done through Quattro Motors at Burswood, they're an agent for APR. It only took about 40 mins and the difference is amazing. I do admit I love the sound of a V6 or V8 and I've owned a Corrado VR6 and Golf VR6 Highline when I was in the UK, but for a four cylinder motor, the MKVI sounds pretty good. Still wanting to try and import a Corrado VR6 though....

Check out aussievwwdub's profile - he recently imported a Corrado too.
