hello chaps im Andy and im a newbie , im going to look at a 1991 mk1 golf gti cabrio on saturday which the looks in fantacstic nick body and interior wise but the lady tells me it is not a runner , she says she was driving along and it just stopped , i know this is a bit vague but any of you mechanicaly minded folks have any vague ideas , id also like your input on the best place for parts and mechanical work in sydney , anyway love the site , love the golf , thanks for having me ???????

sorry guys for such a crap first post , as i said i am a newbie but im into the marque , i am interested in buying a golf i am a previous mk1 owner and have restored a 71 camper from shell to road , im not a engine type of guy but can do my own bodywork and spraying , hope this helps you work out who i am a little better
