Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Golf Wagon

    Hi,

My Golf 118Tsi Wagon arrives Friday. Platinum Gray, Vienna Leather, Sunroof, DSG and sports pack.

Pretty happy. Made the decision after having my MY09 TSI since december last year. Awesome car and golf number 4 for me.

I searched the forum and haven't heard many reviews of the wagon yet? Does anyone have any feedback?

I haven't actually looked inside a wagon myself, how is the boot space compared to the standard 5dr hatchback?

The boot space is huge. It is a really practical option for me. I do a lot of sporting activities and even with roof racks, bike carriers, I am dropping the seats down in the hatch to carry gear.

This will be a thing of the past now. I just wish they had a GTi or Type R version of the wagon.

Thanks for that... there's a link somewhere in the forum where someone turned a Mk5 wagon into a Mk6 R Wagon (FWD of course), looked pretty awesome

        And welcome to the forums.

        Edit:

This is the blog on the conversion: http://jonsibal.com/blog/2010/07/jetta-sportwagen-r/
