QLD Hello from Brisbane--Mk6 GTI arriving this week

Hi all

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks, but since the new car is delivered early next week (please let it be Tuesday!), I thought it was time to sign up ...

The car:

2010 GTI 5-door, DSG, red, 18s, sat nav, MDI, tinted windows ...

I didn't want to wait for months and months, so have snapped this one up. Wouldn't normally have gone for red (or sat nav), but hey, I think they look good in any of the available colours.

Current car is a Peugeot GTI-6 (with a special engine). Sad to see her go, but the new 'GTI 6', should ease the pain.

I've only had a 10-minute test drive of the GTI--in the rain, in the middle of the city--so can't wait to point it at some windy mountain roads.

The roads around Brisbane are great, I'm taking the family up to Montville next weekend for a spin.

There is usually a drive or gathering every few months, join in sometime.

I picked the car up last Thursday. The car now has 640km on it, and I love it.

I was in such a hurry to drive it on Saturday morning that we left without a proper camera, so phone photos it is. I've tweaked a couple of them.

There's also a dyno day on the 20th, you don't have to run the car, but you can come down and say hi.
