Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi guys! Great forum look forward to posting more and getting more involved once I get my VW

NOWW.. I'm currently looking at getting either a early model mk5 gti DSG or jetta turbo DSG. My budget is roughly 22k 23k so I know I'd most likely be looking at those with higher k's. Is there anything model specific I should be wary of when inspecting these? I'm in Brissy and come across this Jetta for sale

2006 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA TURBO DSG 1KM Private Cars For Sale in QLD - carsales.com.au

looks like good value. What you guys think?

    Thanks all!

Yeah seems like great value and modding a Jetta, which not too many people know about is very intriguing heh! Not sure what I should offer her without sounding a bit rude. I would looovvee to get it around or under 20k

MODS: could you please move to the mk5 forum??
