Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    As the title suggests, gone through a couple of turbocharged vehicles, now looking for something a little more suited to a daily driver as i cover a few kms to and from work every day...

    A few pics of the previous wheels and current ride;

    Looking to gain some information and knowledge in my search for the next set of wheels...

    Cheers, Anthony

    once a turbo addict it'll be hard to shake... plenty of options in VW camp... TSI, GTI, they're all turbo-ed too...
    nothing wrong with turbo being a sensible daily as long as you don't get over the top with mods, ending up with a car that suits only for drag race and shocks as hard as race car with the car rarely seen a track day.

    mine was more like from having a 360HP R33 gtst (2dr) to a stock 280HP V35 350GT (2dr), and now a stock 210HP Mk6 GTI 5dr...
    just a stepping down ladder of the power addiction and being 5dr heaps more practical then the previous 2 doors with little boot space, I reckon, less power also means now I don't burn all my hard earn cash on a 20ltr/100km 98RON fuel consumption of a 360HP machine... but it was fun back then while it lasted

    good luck with your search, nice cars too...
