Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Hello from Carbon Fiber Wrap

    Hi all

My name is James and I am from a Melbourne-based signage company who have a new carbon fibre vinyl wrap product that looks and feels (almost) like real carbon fibre. We're all car guys and so think that accenting interior and exterior car components is the natural use for this. We've done a lot of work for Zagame, The Supercar Club and even the Ferrari F1 Team!

I'm keen to showcase what we can do - and obviously extend offers/deals back to forum members. Check out: Carbon Fiber Wrap

Mods: can you let me know the best way to move forward in promoting our services. Let me know if I can just post about jobs we have done - or if you need us to become a sponsor/advertiser to do so. I don't want to come across as a wanton spammer - so let me know how and where you want me (or don't want me) to post.

We are happy to offer group discounts or even 'bonus wraps' (ie: iPhone covers) for forum members too.

Just reply here or send me a PM with the details.

    Thanks
    James

      Hi guys,

Thanks for the welcome...some further info for you:

No this is NOT 3M DI-noc!
3m Di-noc is not specifically designed for use on vehicles and in our opinion the look is less realistic compared to the Hexis brand that we use. Made in Germany, it's designed specifically to wrap vehicles/vehicle parts
It features outdoor durability of up to 4years. (It depends on what parts are wrapped) Eg. a roof of the car woudl get more UV/sun than a side skirt or mirror etc.

In terms of what we can wrap - basically most items which are painted. Eg. painted metal/plastic is fine...the only issues is with un-painted ABS plastic....If it's painted generally we can wrap it! We don't need to use any primer sprays etc, so if you change your mind you can just peel it off even after many years!

In terms of price, if we supply the material to you - the price for a piece 1370 x 1000mm (plenty to do many parts of the car) would be $185.00
Parts that we wrap for you is dependent on size/time involved etc. For an example we charge around $350.00 for a full roof wrap on most normal size vehicles.

check out the website for more info and pics etc. Carbon Fiber Wrap
If you have any questions please email info@carbonfiberwrap.com.au

We have many years experience with wrapping vehicles, so we're not a backyard outfit

      Ciao
