Purchased 2010 Tiguan after deciding time to move on from 2005 Forester. Impressed with vehicle so far in both city & country driving. Yet to tow boat but expect that will handle easily as only 4.3m aluminium runabout (Forester towed easily so great faith in Tiguan)

I found this site when wondering about service interval - 15,000 for first service seemed a long time. Great info on the site . Also helped solve mystery of why windows were down - had remote in pocket when working on trailer and obviously something pressed against the unlock button!

Welcome to the forums mate.
Lots of new tig owners recently.

Did you get the manual or DSG?
You should be able to tow the boat with ease, i have seen a tig towing a small runabout.

Can't wait to see some pictures of your ride.

Went with the DSG - great for sneaking along gravel roads or on boat ramps.
Heading fishing on Wednesday so will be able to compare towing to Subaru. Will post pics soon

No problems mate.
The DSG should work well with the TDI engine.
Might be a problem with it's hesitation on teh boat ramp though.

Let us know how the Tig handles itself after your trip and some pictures would be great also.
Hopefully one with the trailer on.
