Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I had no idea how fanatical VW owners were until I got on here...

Am about to get hold of a 125TSI Tiguan and join the crowd, I hope you're all right about them being worth it!

Welcome Stocky, can't comment on the Tig, however we've had our Jetta TFSI for 4 years and have been very happy with it.

    Congrats on your purchase

      Definitely worth it.
Simple ECU remap and you have the power and torque figures of a Golf R with the same AWD system for under 40k.

It is definitely worth it mate.
When driven economically even with the stage 2 bits i get low 6's - low 7's.

However you also have all that power on tap which is great for when you want/need it.
It also improves the torque range which makes it easyier to tow with.
