Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    QLD Hi

    Owned a 97 Golf 2l Manual GL for 4 years before I passed it down to my 19 y/o daughter earlier this year. Her first car. I'm fixing up a few little things on it and thought these forums would help.

    I have previously owned air cooled dubs: 1963 Karmann Ghia 1986 to 1990 - a project that was finished then had to be sold - can't put baby seats in them. Also had a 1973 superbug, about 10 years ago for a few years.
