Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New R36 Wagon

    Hi All,

This is actually my second R36 wagon in 16 months, the first was written off in the hailstorm in Perth in March this year (heartbreaking). Had the new one 3 days now and must say I'm pretty pleased so far with the little refinements added between the 09 and 10 models.

Last one was black, this one Icelandic Grey with Latte interior, SatNav, sunroof, ATG, tow bar (hidden from view), MDI, VW bluetooth. Only downer is that it seems that the RVC got unbundled from the RNS 510 somehow between the 09 and 10 models, and it was missed as a buyer spec because the car was simply ordered as an insurance new for old replacement!

Wasn't all that familiar with R36 when I first got one but had done my homework. Had also previously had one of the first V5 Bora's to hit WA back in 1999/2000, so was already a VW fan.

R36 is defintely the most car you can buy for the money.

    Never look back.

Looking forward to enjoying everyone's posts and advice.

    Cheers
