The real question, im getting rid of my problematic golf gt mk5 09 tsi and trying to decide if i buy the new Golf R or for the same money get the faster Audi S3.........

The DSG R was a massive let down. now length in the gears and the dsg had a mind of its own..

      Oh no!

      I'm glad I got a manual then...

Go the R mate, it's the most beautiful car I've ever seen esp in that blue

The S3 isn't faster, it has the same engine and the same tune.
I would get the S3 purely based on the fact it has more prestige than the golf if it is the same money.

there are some nice low km S3s to choose from on carsales, some even come with the Recaro racing buckets.

+1 for team_v's comments, the S3 is more prestige.

Also, being second hand the S3 is likely to depreciate less than a brand new R
