I'm Roxy, and in May this year I bought a VW Polo 77TSI. Not only is this my first VW, it's my first car! I'm 24, but never bothered to get my license until 2 years ago, as the usual poverty that accompanies uni and living abroad meant I couldn't have afforded a car even if I could have legally driven one! However, since I moved back to my home town, having a car has become a nessecity, and the security of a nice steady '9 to 5' means I can finally afford one too! Sadly though, I'm still waiting for the delivery of my Polo. I was told to expect delays of around 3, but up to 4 months on "made to order" factory cars (ie; not off the showroom floor), but at this stage it's looking more like 5 or more, as the latest ETA is late October. No point being a diva about it, as nothing can be done (not that I'm aware of, anyway), but its very frustrating! If anyone else has had or is having a similar issue of delivery delays, I'd like to know! Might make me feel a bit better!

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It is hard waiting but there isn't really anything that can be done.
I had a go in the polo at the VW Driver day and they are a fun little car to fang around.
Hopefully you get a nice surpriuse and it turns up earlier that expected.
I found the dates were generally overinflated to make sure the custmer wasn't angry when they expected their car and it wasn't ready.
