I've been lucky to have owned a number of VW's over the years starting with a Mk 1 Golf way back in the distant past in Jersey CI. Main memory was that you needed a lot of right boot to get any form of deceleration, if you were gentle you ran out of road etc.
Now it's a 2007/2008 Passat 103 TDi wagon. What a huge improvement and that DSG box is magic.
