NSW Tiguan Vibrations (NOT THE GOOD KIND)

Hi All,

I have a new Tiguan TDi which has just done 5000ks. Since day 1 there has been a vibration that developes between 70-80 clicks which to me feels like it starts at the back. Its been in the shop 3 time now with no luck. VW service seems to think it is because it is a short wheel base????? The vibration is an up and down motion and not side to side. Any comments would be a big help.

Haven't had anything like this in mine.
The only vibration i get is at idle with teh aircon on.

The Tig only came in one size so it can't be a "short wheel base" problem.

My TIs @ 27000km and hab no similar experience. Does the vibration get worse as speed rises or does it reduce if you go faster.

If if improves with speed its definitely a balance issue. either drive train or wheels and tyres, I 'd be pushing for a full wheel and tyre swap as a trial. I had a bad experience with a previous vehicle with tread separation. which took the mechanics some time to resolve.

Thanks for the comments guys. The vibration does get better from 90 clicks up and i am not buying the short wheel base excuse either. I have just had a call from the shop and they tell me VW Head Office Tech Services are interested in the issues and I may get a call from them. Keep you posted!!!
