Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • QLD Just purchased a My09 VW Polo GTi.

    Hello folks,
19.08.2010 I flew Jetstar Brisbane to Sydney and arrive at 10.00 am, meet the prior owner.

I inspected the VW Polo GTi, with 41197 k's and drove to RTA Botany Bay. At 13.15 pm I head off to Woolworths Caltex Waitara and realized that I had no idea how to open the fuel cap door. A quick read of the Polo manual and I putting a tank full of 98Ron in. I asked the girl on the register was I heading the right direction and she said no way.

I turn back and get on the Sydney Tunnel road then go Pacific Highway. By now it is 13.40 pm and I have 923 kilometers ahead of me.

I again stop for fuel Pacific Hwy Macksville and have a short 30 minute break. Grab two milk drinks and at 18.03 head off to Brisbane.

There was some heavy rain from north of Grafton until Queensland border and I arrive home at 23.30pm.

Not a single issue with Polo GTEye N9 for all the 923 kilometers.

    Some of the advised modifications:
Revo Stage two software 158kw plus
Full 60mm TBE and APR downpipe with ASpec Titanium Cannon
Forge intake with K&n intake plus CAI and Honeycomb Grill
    HKS Blowoff valve
    Defi Boost Gauge
    ScanGauge2
Avanti Racing MazeR with Conti 205/40/17
    APR Dogbone
Odessey Battery with Raizin Earth Kit
DiXcel Front slotted disc rotors HS Type 1313035
    Upgraded 4 bar fuel regulator

    Cheers Al
