Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Just bought a 2003 VW Bora 4-motion a few weeks back to add to the collection. Got coilovers for it already. Plan on changing tail lights to a nicer set and maybe some engine stuff

    Welcome and Congrats!

For the engine side mods, can I suggest CAI, Flash and possibly Dogbone and Rear control arm bushs for immediate gratification..

Having been there, these mods present simple gains, other than that.. open the cheque book and BOOST the V6!

PS Haldex upgrades are highly recommended as well!

Yeah I'd like to put a small twin turbo system and 3" exhaust, then get it tuned, maybe front strut bar too. But haven't found any turbo'd ones yet to see how they go

you wont want to go Twinturbo, single turbo is best.
Reason its not been done is its quite an expensive and difficult proposition in australia. Budget $6-10k to do it if your serious

Oh ok is there any information on people that have done single, twin and supercharged ones I can look through? I'm from around the Sunshine Coast near Brisbane. I'll hopefully get my coilover's this week and get stuck into it

I dont believe there is anyone with a forced induction 4mo on here.
There are plenty of them/golf 4mo's in the UK, might want to check some forums there if your really interested.

Be careful looking at the US as their Jetta's are left hand drive and only FWD.

Great to see another bora on here .

Looks exactly like mine. I also plan on boosting it later on haha. Quick asthetics could be removing the badges on the boot

                      keep the worklog coming

Supercharge would be my favourite just case I love the whine they make. Yeah I'll jump on a few uk ones and see what I can find. What about my number plates?. I'll prob keep it looking fairly standard. maybe just some different tail lighst. Not crome ones but lol
