Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • NSW New Bora 4mo owner

    Hello everyone

Today I took possession of a shiny new (to me) MY'01 Bora 4motion Sport. (With only 72k on the clock!)
First car I've ever had that I'm proud to own. Writing off my boring old corolla was one of the best things I've ever done =D

    Being as this is my compulsory first post and all, I'll ask here;
Can anyone recommend a mechanic in the Sydney Inner West region? Someone who's trustworthy and professional, but who won't look at me like I'm crazy if I ask about custom springs or something similar down the road.

Proud to be joining the community =]

    Congratulations,and enjoy the Bora.

It is a classic car if ever there was one,and one of the nicest VW products ever.

Welcome aboard! I'm a V6 4Mo owner too (white 2003 model), there's a few of us around in Sydney.

Inner west, I know Steve Natoli does some work occasionally (do a forums search on that name). Five Dock Automotive aren't a VW specialist per se, but they're a good workshop, and the owner (Joe) is a good bloke. There are a few other specialists around, just depends how far you want to travel.
      Nothing to see here...

        Welcome and Congrats...

Theres a few of us 4mowers getting around now, good to see!

I'm around the corner in Five Dock, so hope to bump into you some day (not literally, that gets expensive and annoying!)

Don't forget to post up some pics!

Also I can vouch for both suggested by ^Manaz^, have had both of them do bits on my 4mo and highly recommend for professionalism and honest work. Obviously, there's many others around the place as well!
