Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • VIC New Jetta TFSI in Melbourne

Hey everyone, thought i'd introduce myself. My name is Michael and i have just purchased a silver 2007 Jetta TFSI. Its in great condition with only 42,000km on the clock with some nice factory options, namely xenon headlights and a sunroof.

As i just bought a house, the car's progress will be slow, but the goals for the car include:
    - Bluetooth
    - Sub woofer added to the standard stereo
    - iPod hookup
    - Lowered suspension
    - 19 inch wheels
    - RNS-510 Navigation

And maybe just maybe might get lucky enough and free up funds for a set of OEM skirts.

Anyway look forward to meeting some of you lot. And i'll get some proper pics up once i've done my first shoot

    Michael

Hey Anthony. I didnt really consider much else to be honest. I had an 1999 Audi A4 MY99 GP Edition. Pretty much what you see in my list above is what was done to the A4 (except i retrofitted the RNS-E and i added the xenons) plus i did burgundy red leather style interior.

I bought it privately from NSW and got a sensational deal. Partly due to needing its 45k service and a new set of tyres. But i loved the A4 just wanted something newer and this seemed like the better value compared to the newer A4's

The Jetta is better than the newer A4 models.
My brother in law had an Audi just like yours, also 1999 model, and the Jetta is far nicer IMHO.

Mine was written off in the hail, and 2 months ago I replaced it with a brand new Honda Accord Euro, which is an awesome car, very refined, but I miss my Jetta...
Am waiting for the new one next year.............................................. .................................................. ...............................
