Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • New Multivan Executive owner

    hi all.

We have just bought an 07 TDI Multivan Highline (executive version)

We bought it through a bloke on the Gold Coast who travels around to all the dealer auctions. We are picking it up this coming weekend.

We currently have 4 kiddies and we have twins due in a month or so, so we will need to pull out the back two captains chairs and replace with a bench seat, plus get a middle seat fitted in between the remaining two captains chairs.

Looking forward to the vw experience.....bye, bye little 4 cylinder honda odyssey.

Now if anyone has a third row bench lying around or a little middle seat....let me know.

      thanks for the welcome,

Yeah, good old ronda (the honda) was a 99 model before the v6's came out in 2000. Shes been a great gal but now she's not big enough.

Driven a mates multivan TDI and loved it, especially that extra 'push' you can give it in each gear. But really for us it was a decision about space and seating flexibility.

We pick it up hopefully this weekend and i will then post some pics.

One other important thing....what to name her....? myrtle the multivan?, Vicki the volkswagen, debby the dubba? any suggestions?
