Hi guys and girls,
This is my first time at doing something like this. The reasoning behind me joining up is there is only so much reading and understanding of a product you can do by yourself. This will be my first ever serious purchase of a car so i dont want to get it wrong as it it is my hard earned cash and not the bank's. I have always bought $1000 rego run out's but decided enough was enough.
I am currently in the market for a used vw transporter.
I have looked at a couple so far and the best i have seen so far is a
2006 VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER T5 MY07 LOW ROOF SWB, Price $19,980*
Kilometres 80559, Transmission 5 speed Manual, 4 door 2 seat VAN, 4 cylinder Premium Unleaded Multi-point injected 2.0L (1984cc) from bill buckle's on the northern beaches of sydney where i live.
The salesperson i have been dealing with said that included in the price would the stamp duty of $640, plus the replacement of the wood panels that have been damaged. Also would include the removal of the middle divider, which is a volkwagen genuine part.
I was wondering is this a good van for the price, or should i still be looking. Was this a good model, did it have any flaws??? I have also aqurried the service history of the van too, but the in the service book it says the TOOTHED BELT & TOOTHED BELT: Tensioning roller need to be changed. Is that expensive???
Hopefully you'll be able to help me out.
Soon to be taylortransporter.
