Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Oh and to add to that a little I just got a brand new GTI. First thing I would like to do is look at some after market exhuast systems.

      welcome aboard reaction.

      APR do a great exhaust.

      take a look at http://www.goapr.com or www.hp.net.au

also, chat with Quattro Motors in burswood who are the local APR agent

if you are chasing extra perfromance, then an ECU reflash would be a more economic/performance upgrade

take a look on youtube there are probably hundreds of clips for after-market exhausts on Golfs

Thanks for the info. I will go see them (they are just around the corner) and see what we can do.

What is the deal with keeping your manufacturing warranty when something like this gets done?

Hi Reaction, welcome to the forum.
Have a look on the APR site - there is info about warranty stuff on there I'm pretty sure, or run a search on here (particularly in the Mk V or VI sections)

          Cheers
