  • Hello.. my first post and i already need help

    Hi

I've just bought a red 06 polo GTI, all i can say is its ALOT better than my previous 94 Mazda bubble car!

But (there is always a but!) i'm already having a bit of trouble with the central locking i press the unlock button, it unlocks the drivers side perfectly but the passenger side doesn't unlock, the lock doesn't pop up like it should, i was told its just sticky and i would just have to continue opening the passenger door to fix this?

Has anyone else had this problem?? and if so is there an easier / shorter way to fix this?

Did you press the unlock button twice?

    One click - drivers door
    Two clicks - other doors

Pressing the button once unlocks the drivers door. Pressing the button again straight away unlocks the passenger door and hatch.

lol I thought the same thing when I first got my car.. so I continously pressed the OPEN button continuously and noticed they all opened. Pressing it twice when locking the doors also has a cool dead-lock feature... in the golf gti it does anyway. Also try holding down your OPEN button, the windows should go down.

Doesn't work in the polo. You can use the key in the door to do that.

Well turns out the passenger door isn't broken and it unlocks when the remote is pressed twice.. wish the dealer mentioned that when i bought the car >.<
