NSW Buying New GTI Mark 6 and want to confirm VIN

Hi Guys

I own a 2006 GTI and I am just about to settle on a new Mark 6, Carbon Steel Grey GTI 5dr 6spd manual.

Just received the VIN WVWZZZ1KZA.... and I see it has a 1K in it.
I thought the Mark 6 was a 5K or does the VIN remain as 1K because the chassis is the same for the Mark 5 and Mark 6?

Can someone calm my nerves? 8^)

my VIN is WWWZZZ1KB... and is a mk6 GTI (arrives in fremantle in the next few days) so dont worry, its probably because the metal chassis remains the same for both versions

unless ive been had too......

If your VIN is WWZZZ1KB... doesn't the 'B' mean it was built in 2011 or 1981?

or it was built in 1981 and im getting a vintage gti... cool.....

oops sorry - just checked, its wwwzzz1kZb.... built in April
