ACT urgent questions about 2007/08 GTI DSG

was hoping to place this under the appropriate forum, but looks like it has to be here as it's my first post!

Anyway, could someone please reply soon with some or all of this info:

1. where is the intercooler on the Golf V GTI?

2. are the build problems (eg AC, etc) equally bad on the German built 3-door and on the South Africa built 5 door models?

3. when does the timing belt need to be done?

4. on the 3-door, does the door edge close flush with the rear window edge (in terms of how much it protrudes from the car) ? The car I'm looking at has a noticeable gap (as in away from the car) compared to the rear window edge.

Welcome mate, firstly, the point of having this section as your first post is to introduce yourself, and tell us a bit abt your car, rather than demand answers, secondly, you can place this thread now in the appropriate forum, MKV golf - i would think.... also....use the search button, lots can be found with this...

Anyway...about me. Currently have a 2007 Mazda CX7 turbo (petrol). Enjoyed it to some extent, but its weight and size are getting annoying.

Previously had a 1993 Audi 80 V6 quattro...which put me off Audi pretty much for life

Before that had a 1994 Nissan 200sx which was fun, but a bit unattractive for a coupe!

Now I'm keen to get something smaller and quick...but still with the practicality to carry kids when required...

Hoping to buy within 1 - 2 weeks
