hey guys suppose its time to make my first post
Next week i will be picking up my first Euro, a 97 Golf its full granny spec as im buying it off my parents, who live down in nsw as theyve just purchased an original one owner mk4 with 20thousand km on the clock

anyways enough about that plans for the golf are the usual coilovers, wheels, grill, front lip etc, just to keep it clean, spares and servicing wont be a problem at all either as i work for Austral Vw and Honda spare parts (so if anyone of you guys need anything cheap, send us your vin and what you need ;P)
will get pics up of the car when i get it

    Hi Glynn,
Had my recently bought Mk 5 GT TDI serviced at Austral VW - 30000km service early as there is a vibration coming through the clutch. RACQ test picked it up also when testing. Austral service advised that there was nothing detected when the car was serviced; however there is a vibration (I also have a 1997 VR6 which was converted from auto to manual by Matt at Camden GTI - this is soo smooth) and I am concerned that this will cost heaps if it worsens out of warranty. Volkspower in Melbourne also warned of letting this go too far.
Your comments would be appreciated. VIN No WVWZZZ1KZ8UO27843. Austral were given a copy of the RACQ vehicle inspection.
    Thanks and regards,
    Kevin

Hi Glynn i asked on another thread what was a good price for a replacement key for a golf V Gt 2.o diesel and was quoted $398 plus $55 for getting programed, Firstly does it need to be programed ive read its only a matter of putting your existing key in the ignition turn to first click close the door place your new key in the door and turn till it beeps ?
Could you check and see if the price is about right thanks ian
