Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thats dude, R32's are no slouches either

The Polo is quite a handful with that much power in such a small package, loads of fun. Will need to work on getting the power down a bit better though i think!

        Welcome Kang.

Lots of work to be done there, lots of reading to be done to see what options and opinions are available.

A rear swaybar and front brace are a good start, for real handling, coilovers or springs & shocks are the way to go.

        See you around the forum.

          Thanks

Already looking through the forum for the first few things i should be doing after the GIAC tune. Dont have much spare $ so looks as though it might be the rear swaybar first and the front brace if i can afford it (not easy to install the front?).

Awesome, for some beers of course

              Now to source one ...

Edit: Also need to source some new bushings and the dogbone mount by the sounds of it. Lots of reading ahead! (unless you Sydney folk can help me out as to where to source those parts )

For a whiteline swaybar, chuck up a post in the 'wanted to buy' section, worked out cheapest for me.

For a strut brace, try JMac (in lots of the Polo threads).

                    Congrats!

I am picking up a black '08 polo GTI with APR tune tomorrow evening myself. So excited! Am trying to resist the urge to mod, but probably won't last long
