Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

(postage is a bitch) im after 16's preferably.. Thanks again guys for all the help
Your going to be hard pushed finding a heap of suitable old school wheels that are going to fit all in one place, unless you live in the US or UK!
It takes time and plenty of searching and swearing to find the right wheels, unless you either have pots of money and can afford anything you want, or you go buy some killa kromies from Bob Jane (note, please do not do this)

Oh and dont be afraid of getting wheels posted, I do it all the time and its always under $100

Hey guys, been a while so here's an update!

So new wheels, new tailights and checkered mirrors! Next is to definitely lower it and eventually put some spacers on the back wheels, but lowering is a must. But it's going to be a while until anything like that happens, rego and insurance was due last month so bye bye a cool $800ish and now I'm a uni student so bring on more and more expenses! Growing up sucks haha Hope you guys like it!

Welcome mate, sorry it's a bit late though. I spotted you a while back at Oxenford, car looked great then and it looks even better now. If you're going to come up to the meet this Friday then it'd be great if you come along to the GC pre-meet at Ironman mentioned above.

definately needs to be low now haha, then you'll have a very nice little combination going on

you can get a set of coilovers from overseas off ebay for like ~$400 including shipping and as much as I'd love to support the locals, when moneys tight saving a few hundred doesnt hurt pm me if you want links and stuff.
