I currently have a 2008 R32 and 2010 TDI CC. Both are great for what we want. But it is interesting that I took the CC in for its first service this morning (14,500) and saw that the inside of both front tyres were badly scrubbed. Stear indicated that this is not unusal for a front wheel drive car with significant torque. As the car is driven by my wif I don't think that hard driving and spinning of front wheels is really and issue. I was wondering if others are having the same sort of issue. I am also wary of purchasing additional conti's if this wear could be typical.

I have heard of Vw's with terrible wheel alignment from the boat ride to Australia.
I made sure to get the Dealer to do a full wheel allignmetn before i picked up the car becasue of this.

I doubt torque + fwd = inside tyre wear on a normal car.
