Hi All,
I've just joined VWWatercooled and am in the process of doing some research before buying a GTI. I've driven the '10 GTI DSG and am very impressed, despite the fact that I think the pre-'09 models look better.
Can anyone tell me when the GTI stopped being manufactured in South Africa and started being built back in Germany? I'm pretty sure that the '09 & '10 models are German-built but was there a particular month that saw the changeover or are all '09 & '10 models from the motherland?
